Microfiber towels and HE washing machine
Hi guys,
We just got a new HE (high efficiency) washing machine to replace our failed front loader. So far so good, but I have a question regarding cleaning microfiber towels.
I wash them separately and use a free and clear detergent with no problems. Dry on low heat, etc. My question is, what setting do other owners of HE washers use for MF towels?
I've been using the heavy soil with extra rinse, but would I get better cleaning using the "deep water wash" setting?
I'd be interested to hear opinions.

I use the quick wash feature, 30 minutes or so.

I use this Wolfgang Microfiber Cleaner and Rejuvenator on normal setting with vinegar in rinse.

I use 3D Towel Kleen or All Free & Clear.

This exactly what I do also.
Every other wash I use a half cup of distilled vinegar too. This get the drying aid wax or sealants out of my towels.

Thanks everyone. I hadn't thought about the vinegar, great tip!

Just take it easy on the vinegar. Too much and your towels would be on the "crunchy" side. Ask me how I know... lol

Since my wife uses fabric softener with every load, I wipe the softener dispenser dry and fill it up with cleaning vinegar-about 4 ounces if I had to guess. I use the "normal" cycle with medium spin speed and medium soil level. It's been working fine for me that way.

Re: Microfiber towels and HE washing machine
Since HE machines use less water, I usually do the quick cycle to pre-soak the towels and don't spin dry then I repeat a full wash cycle with extra rinse using Woflgang detergent and vinegar in the fabric softener compartment. It's worked well for me so far.
