    How to clean these wheels??

The finish isn't pitted, but the wheel has been neglected for over a year.

Any suggestions on how to bring it back to life is welcome. Thanks in advance everyone!

It LOOKS like the rims are polished & cleared aluminum and that the clear is flaking off. IMHO the only fix is to have them professionally refinished.

Now about those tires ... they are severely dry-rotted (see all the cracks in the close up pic?) and should be replaced SOON.

I as well noticed the dry rot on the tires first. As for the clear flaking off..that sucks. Common problem for cleared aluminum

I was hoping it wouldn't come down to that.... I'm well aware of the tire, that's why it's off the bike

I figured I'd ask before getting it redone. Thanks!
