    Vacu Berms

I noticed that there are a few different types of vacu berms on the market, and I just want to get a feel for what everyone is using as far as vacu berms and the wet/dry vacs used with them.

Here's a couple links for the vacu berms I've seen. I'm actually leaning towards Detail King's:

    Server Error

and the wet/dry vac I was going to use (low noise rating plus low wattage draw from the inverter and water pump feature):

If the Clean Water Act is enforced around you; just get a length of fire hose, cap one end, fill with sand, and cap the other end. Instant water berm that will hold enough water for most car washes, especially if the runoff is diverted to a garden or lawn. The pooled water will evaporate on its own while you're working on other parts of the detail. You can also suck up excess with a shop vac if diversion options aren't readily available and you're using more water than your berm will hold. What are you planning on doing with the recovered water from a berm setup? Supposed to be taken to a treatment facility...

awesome post. yes, i am also getting sand berms but I can't leave a drop of water laying around so i'm getting the vacuum berm as well. the water i'm reclaming will be either dumped in my own lawn or at a treatment facility like your talking about

Let's just say I've had a little experience with wash water recovery:

No I don't need to all my run off water doesn't go down the storm drain it goes into grass and dirt so it filters the water. I do all my work out of my garage and I had to have the environmental agency of my city sign off on my business.
