    Air Compressor Suggestions

I'm tore between the Craftsman Pro 27 gallon and the IR 20. The Craftsman has better stats but the IR has better reviews. Opinions?

Do you have a shop? Are you sure you want to go that small? I upgraded to a 60 gallon porter cable. Best decision I've made for my business.

    I went with a Puma

    Puma Belt-Drive Stationary Vertical Air Compressor — 60-Gallon Vertical, 3 HP, 12 CFM, Model# PK6060V

It powerfull enough to run anything I have....and am very happy with it so far.

I would say go with a 60 Gallon and at least 11CFM. At that you will be able to do almost anything!

+1 believe it or not i got my porter cable off craigslist, never used, tags still on it for $400. I think they are at least twice that anywhere else. I got lucky. I watch craigslist all the time for stuff like that. I used s harbor freight 21 gallon for over a year. It ran non stop when i was blowing out vehicles. I use compressed air throughout my entire interior detail and i was wearing that poor 21 gallon out. I was constantly stopping to let the compressor catch up and it was loud as heck! A craftsman 27 will be a little better than a harbor freight model of similar size but will run a lot and wear out faster than a good 60+ gallon

    Re: Air Compressor Suggestions

Need something mobile. I know what my air needs are and both of these should meet them. Also don't have 230 wired. The IR is continuous duty so the tank size doesn't really matter.
