    Yes. The hose passes though an opening on the wind assist and the wind assist moves along a bar to feed the hose.

    Personally, I think this is an important feature that I'd want on a winder especially one costing $135.00....

    I use one of these, have no hose bibs in front of house or near the driveway. Might be a little overkill for you, but they do make a smaller cheaper model. This works great dragging my 200+ hose around and its not anchored to one spot. Just a thought.

    All good suggestions, but I need something that is space saving. I currently have a free standing one that is in the ground and have to rack the hose myself. I might just go with option 1, bc I only need a 50 ft hose for the front of the house.
