Curb rash...
So I just effed up my previously perfect rim on my Silverado. To what extent can this be repaired? Any idea what a pro would charge?

The pro rim shops can repair that.
As for price, I couldn't venture a guess.

Yes, a good wheel guy can make that look brand new again. They are very good at what they do! I'd dare to say $150-200

That doesn't seem too bad. I found a new one for about $350

Re: Curb rash...
Are you sure that is the wheel that is damaged? Or is it just a chrome cover?
I'm thinking it's a chrome cover. I know for certain GMC trucks utilize chrome covers and I would guess Chevy does the same. I think all you really need to do is buy a new cover.
Even in one of your pics, if you look closely, you can see where the cover is rolled or peeled back from the edge of the wheel. My money says it's the cover that is damaged, not the wheel.

Re: Curb rash...
This can be repaired by a knowledgeable rim dude, the price would go anywhere from 150 - 200
Good luck !

It can be fixed yourself if you are a DIY'er.
Here's my link with instructions from the Camaro6 forum:

Kirk I appreciate the link. Problem is my rims are chrome not polished. I'm not sure I can do this at home and make it an invisible repair.

I just went out and double checked. Definitely chrome. You can see aluminum (or alloy?)underneath the chrome plating and there's no seams anywhere

That doesn't look the way GM used to do those chromed-plastic wheel inserts. I looked at the Chevy website and they do say chromed wheels as an option, but IIRC that's also the way they referred to the "fake" ones with the plastic fronts, although that was for a car, not a truck. My mother had those plastic-capped ones, and curbed one, and I went to my usual wheel shop and they said they couldn't fix it because they couldn't buy the chromed-plastic part. This was many years ago, however.
If yours is indeed chromed, you will need to go to a place that can have it stripped and then they will fix it and have it re-chromed. I know GM was pretty adamant about getting away from chrome plating because of the heavy metal liability trail. I believe the plastic is coated using a PVD method, and may not be actual chrome.
What is PVD
