    Megs M100 on a RAM 1500

I have a black 2022 RAM 1500 that has a few scratches that are bugging me to say the least.
You can't feel them with your nail (if that helps), so I tried the M105 with a yellow lake country pad on the 3401C polisher, it worked for some but not all.

Upon researching for a stronger compound than the M105, I came across the M100, so I just ordered it now.

However, I wanted to know, which pad do I need for this to work? Can I stick to the lake country yellow pad?

    Thanks in advance!

If the 105 worked for "some" scratches but not others, that tells me the "others" are simply deeper and need more effort -or- you didn't work those areas as thoroughly. I would just make a few more passes with the 105 (if it's safe to do so based on your own risk tolerance).

From a cut perspective, the 105 should be able to remove any "repairable" scratch.

One downside to the 105 is that it has a fairly short cycle time before it starts to dry out. I'm not sure how the 100 compares in that respect.

As for pad choice - I have no comment.

As a Ram owner myself, and having worked on handful of my friends' Rams, I can tell you that the clear coat is "medium/hard to the hard side".

Like John stated above, you might want to make a few more section passes over the deeper scratches. And with slower arm speed.

See what that yields before jumping up to a more aggressive pad/product.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

    Re: Megs M100 on a RAM 1500

    Thanks for the tips!

I'll give it another go, worse case, the M100 should get here in a few days and hopefully that solves it.

Since you work on a lot of RAMs, is there any products that you would recommend for a black one?

I usually do this on Honda/Acura & Toyota/Lexus, never tried it on the RAM:
    Meguiar's M105
    Meguiar's D30032 Correction Compound
    Meguiar's D30101 Finishing Wax
