Meguiars APC @10:1 works best for me with a microfiber towel. Just 1.
Blackfire Leather Complete works good too.

The top and bottom part of my steering wheel is woodgrain so that part doesn’t really get dirty the same as the leather parts.

Unless you were gloves, the key here is regular cleaning.

Unless heavily diluted, be mindful of using APC on leather, prolonged use will damage the leather over time. I like either ColourLock and Koch leather products, but P&S Express is nice to use as well. I will use these with either a leather brush, the TRC VLB or one of those scrub pads (Carpro mitt pictured below).

P&S express cut 1:1 with low gsm MF towel. Scrub ninja for a deep down clean couple times a year.

If you think your wheel is clean, hit it with a scrub ninja. You’ll be surprised of what it pulls up.

Regardless of the products you use or the material covering the steering wheel, this is the most important part.

For me I'll do a monthly wipe down (more frequently in the warm months) of the steering wheel with a interior cleaning/protectant product like Griots Interior Protectant or McKee's 37 Interior Protectant. Three or four times a year I'll do a deep clean and hit it first with a dilution of Poorboy's World APC and it it's covered in leather, I'll use my leather cleaning product on it.

It's funny how the look of a steering wheel will change. Some will start to get shiny and then shift to a dull look which makes you think the surface of the steering wheel is failing. Most of the time if it looks like that, the wheel is just really nasty and needs a deep clean.

Pretty close to weekly or bi-weekly wipedown. I guess the H20 is not enough and a mild cleaner is the common thread here. I do use a mild cleaner, just not each and every time.

Damn. Are we sure that’s all dirt and not dye from the leather?

I got about half that gross on a 7 year old steering wheel. They are great at getting deep down dirt.
