Paint correction and ambient temperature
Do compounding and polishing results suffer when done in low(er) temps? Not talking about sub-freezing conditions, but in the 40-45f range.
Edit: Found some good info in this thread.

I wouldn't go any lower than 40

I'm not sure that actual "results" would suffer. The machine polishing process produces a certain amount heat which, may be beneficial in lower temps.
However, the product removal afterward will be much more laborious.

Y'all were correct about removing product in low temps. Did my first compounding and polishing in 44-48f temps yesterday, and it was--as they say--a learning experience.
Looking forward to practicing in more appropriate conditions.

The issues with temps goes beyond polishes. I've had difficulty applying LSP's and even using some detail spray products in temps ranging from the mid-40'sF and lower.
Honestly, I don't even think about doing any detailing if temps are below 50 unless it is a situation like bringing home a new car in the late fall/winter...which I have done twice. In those instances, I just do a best-effort job to protect the vehicle until warm weather returns.

Which products (liquids) did you use?
