    Coatings for white paint

    Hello,

I am looking for a different coating this year and was looking into gyeon and some of the reviews say it darkens the paint. Would this be noticeable on white paint? Has anyone experienced a coating that works better for white paint or am I making too big a deal about white paint?

Imo you are worring to much.

Ive used gyeon pure evo on white, silver, charcol grey and black paint. Ive only noticed the darkening effect on dark colors.

Its not like it "changes" the coloe of the vehicle

Making white darker?? Doesnt make sense to me, maybe I am wrong.

You’re over thinking it. You would not notice a difference between any coating on white paint. That is the reality of white paint.

Thank you everyone. Any recommendations for gyeon? I was thinking can coat because I have a few cars to do. I am also considering cquartz lite.

CarPro Sic or GYEON Mohs EVO. Both are great on lighter colors. In reality, though, the real difference is in the quality of the final painted finish and the work you do on the polisher. Orange Peel on a cheap car will not look as nice as a finely sprayed finish no matter what coating.

Video will but I don't do video as I have little need. Again, a coating alone isn't going to show a difference either way. Not on white.

What video will do is give you 24 still frames a second along with movement to change the reflected angles...hence show more opportunity to feature the highest reflection viewing angles.

Taking a 2 dimension still photo and making it 3 dimentional
not bad for an 8th grade education huh.....

My point is exactly that, the movement and changing of angles in video will show it better than a photo. In still images people focus on the details within the image, in videos the focus is on the changing visuals of the subject hence why videos do show off gloss better on lighter cars. Both photos and videos focus on the ability to paint with light.
