White Spots residue on cowl
Hoping to solve a mystery as to what caused this spotting and white stains on my cowl. Truck is Gtechniq crystal serum light coated. Went in for my maintenance wash and my detailer did a hand wash, iron decon and topped with a ceramic booster. I saw the spots after I drove home. A wash would not remove it and he said he doesn't know what could have caused it. Anyone encounter this? It looks like something dried on it during the maintenance wash to me.

As for the cause I can't help, I can only guess. But for a fix I can tell you what has worked for me.
I had a similar situation last week while detailing my truck... The rear tailgate handle and surround (black textured plastic) had some white-ish staining.
After a few attempts to remove the white haze with standard cleaning products (they did nothing) I stepped up to mineral spirits. The mineral spirits helped a little but still not to my satisfaction.
What finally worked and completely removed the white haze was lacquer thinner. I saturated a terry cloth towel (not dripping, but good and damp) with the lacquer thinner and scrubbed. After 2-3 scrubbing cycles the white haze was completely removed. I then sealed it up with Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer and it looks as good as new now.

Could have something to do with the washer fluid?

I have the same thought as bill, iron remover can leave spots on dry plastic. But who knows.
Thanks to 2black1s for that good piece of advice on laqour

I noticed this on the corner pieces of my cowl Sunday when washing. The 2 pieces are more like rubber. Hit them with Mc Kees trim restorer. Took the spots right out. What is causing this? IDK.

Your detailer has left a chemical to dry, if he can't fix the cause he has done then I'd say find a new one.
Being black plastic is a tough one because if you can remove it you will take the black out of the plastic and have a faded white look.
Try a citrus based APC and if you can't get it back to how it was tell your detailer to replace it for free he should have insurance for this!
