water spots and matte paint

hey there , i got this g wagon with matte paint and was sitting under a leaking pipe , so the roof paint has stains from water ....
matte paint does not take well any rubbing and will gloss if any "polishing" involved.
does anyone has any experience with this issue ?
the owner use some kind of product for water spots and for matte paint with no luck, but i though about asking here.

If it is heavily stained it is to the point where not much will help to remove them. What product did he use? Dr. Beasley's has an entire line for cleaning matte paint.
