    Buffer Trail/Mark? Opinions??

Opinion on what this mark is? I’ve hit it with a medium foam pad and some compound & still don’t come out. It’s not as easy to see in person as it is on camera. I can’t feel the marks at all.

Its hard to tell from those photos-- how about a little history on the area, if you know it

Did the medium pad and "whatever compound" you used make any difference?

The fact that this forum won't allow high resolution pictures make it really difficult to see what you are seeing.

I hate that the pictures aren’t high resolution. I’m actually a detailer so I know what I’m doing. I’ve just now noticed this though. And it’s barely visible in person unless the perfect light hits it. Both doors on this side have been repainted as I was backed into last year. I just don’t remember seeing this. I even went up to a more aggressive pad and still no change…

To me it kinda looks like deep pig tails from a da wet sand after the re-paint.

If that is what it is, should i wet sand over it and Polish it out?

Only if the paint is thick enough with a paint thickness gauge. Repaints are normally thicker than OEM but the cost of being wrong is going through the clear.

Hard to say without seeing it in person. Some of those pig tails can run pretty deep.
