I said that so you could throw whatever opinions at me and I’d know what you were talking about. Also that I didn’t inflict the mark myself. No need to be a smartass lol. Also just because I’m a detailer doesn’t mean I’ve seen any and everything in the book

Hard to tell looking at these pictures. Looks like it could be pig tails or maybe even bird crap etching? If these doors were recently painted it's more than likely pig tails from wet sanding.

Would you wet sand the mark and polish it? Obviously checking the thickness first though. I don’t think it’s bird droppings. I wash my vehicle weekly by hand and have never seen poop on that panel. I just don’t know how deep the etching is, as I’ve tried to cut and had no results

Re: Buffer Trail/Mark? Opinions??
People are going to be reluctant to tell you to sand on your finish-- as they dont want to hear anything back from you if it goes south-- something like " well you said to wet sand it"
Good luck, hope it works out for you

I see absolutely nothing in the picture to make any assessment... This really is a "need to see in person" situation.

Since the doors were recently painted they should have enough clear coat for you to wet sand the surface. I would recommend using a paint thickness gauge first. Just be careful and take your time. It's very easy to go through the clear coat when sanding. You could also contact the body shop that painted the doors and see if they can correct the issue for you.

A paint thickness gauge will do him no good on a re-spray
