Bug remover for car topped with CarPro Reload?

My car is coated with IGL Quartz+, and recently topped with Reload. I've been using Optimum Power Clean 3:1 to remove bugs from the car. It does a great job at getting the bugs off, generally I can spray the bugs with OPC and hit it with a pressure washer and the bugs are gone. I've seen OPC at 1:1 kill Reload really quick though. My question: would 3:1 OPC or another product like CarPro Bug-Out be safer for the topper?

Toppers are not the same as coatings so there is a good chance that Bug-Out might be too strong for it while still being safe for the coating. I will say that Bug-Out is absolutely amazing at dissolving bug guts. I would just plan to use a topper again if you have to clean with such a strong product.

3:1 OPC has worked better for me than Bug-Out did in the past. Oh yeah, I don't expect it to be as durable as my coating I'm just trying to avoid having to re-apply it every time I wash the car.

If you plan to use OPC or similar EVERY time you wash the car then I’d recommend giving up on the topper and just let the coating lead the way. Otherwise, use your topper as a drying aid every time you wash. But OPC will negatively affect just about any normal topper.

Bug-Out works well but isn't as cost effective as a good citrus based APC that can be diluted.

Totally agree. If you are going to use a topper, than the best bet is to think about it as what it really is, simply a sacrificial layer on top of your coating.

Using harsh chemicals to remove bugs is necessary sometimes and you'll simply have to re-apply the topper to the areas you've just cleaned up.

If your concerned with adding some type of sacrificial protection layer to preserve your coating BUT you hate the idea of having to constantly reapply it every wash due to the high PH bug cleaners stripping it then use something like CarPro Hydr02 Lite or Gyeon Wetcoat. Spray on rinse off your front end. Can't get any easier than that.

Once you remove the bug splatter, just reapply the CarPro Reload. You could also apply the Diamondite Insect Armor before going on a long drive or road trip. It sure helps with the bugs.

I'd just replace the Reload after cleaning the bugs.

That's what I tend to do also.
