Because the products were inferior and they were using it as an incentive to drive sales. To me, I'd take a BMW with a 3yr 36k warranty any day - opposed to a Chrysler with 7 yr 70k warranty.

    Just saying... Rupes completely changed the DA polisher game with their system. Nobody here is bickering, I'm just expressing valid reasons why someone may choose this product. Now they are bringing out the IBrid - another game changer. If you think there aren't companies out there trying to reverse engineer that machine as we speak - think again.
