1. Nobody pushed Rupes to up their game but Rupes. They listened to customer feedback. The MK II was in development for over a year before the other machine came out.

2. The PC 7424 was not even designed for detailing. It was a tool meant for sanding wood, which was adapted for detailing by a few clever folks. PC has zero presence (or interest) in detailing or the detailing community.

People always bring up Griot's warranty as a major influence on their purchasing decision. But there is a ton of Rupes polishers out there, and issues with the machines is extremely rare.

I remember a few years ago when Chrysler and Hyundai were offering crazy longer power train warranties. Do you know why? Because the products were inferior and they were using it as an incentive to drive sales. To me, I'd take a BMW with a 3yr 36k warranty any day - opposed to a Chrysler with 7 yr 70k warranty.

Just saying... Rupes completely changed the DA polisher game with their system. Nobody here is bickering, I'm just expressing valid reasons why someone may choose this product. Now they are bringing out the IBrid - another game changer. If you think there aren't companies out there trying to reverse engineer that machine as we speak - think again.
