    Best final panel wipe towel.

    Hey Mike,

Just curious, what is your favorite towel for final panel wipe down before coating? I'm having a problem with my towels linting, I've washed them, blew them with compressed air, brand new towels you name it I still seem to get a little lint and it's driving me nuts!

    Thanks for the help!

P.S my dad swears he might have gone to school with you lol!

I've got a few different types of towels from another company. But the ones I had pretty good luck with were 600 GSM's and the latests worked beautifully but started linting really quickly are 360 GSM's both are well known brands. I've not tried boiling yet because the 360's are brandy spanking new.

If you give them a good wash or two before their first use, that usually solves any linting that could occur. So if it's still happening, it could be that they're just bad towels? What towels are they, specifically?

In my experience, all towels tend to be slightly "grabby" and lint a little when used with IPA or Eraser; especially on glass

The 360 gsm's were bought through detailing.com. And the 600's are über's. The über's went a good while with no lint. The 360's are brand new and lint pretty bad.

These have been linting during compound removal which is causing all kinds of grief during Cquartz coatings.

I use the grey Cobra 530 towels when performing panel wipe downs.
Supreme 530 microfiber towel, buffing cloth, drying towel, detailing towel, 530 towel

To help with the linting I will iron out my towels with a lint roller after they come from the dryer.

Are you using a dedicated mf towel cleaner in the washing machine? Don't forget adding distilled white vinegar to the rinse cycle.

+1. Thus far the best of many brands and type I have used.

    Hey Mike,

Just curious, what is your favorite towel for final panel wipe down before coating?

    From this recent review...

Review & How-To: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Paint Coating

I use the plus side, not the flat weave side. Most of the time the Gold Plush Jr. Towels we sell and I use have been washed a lot.

I have a very meticulous washing, drying and storing process. Only like towels are washed together. I use the DP Microfiber Cleaner for my detergent. After washing towels are dried on normal dryer settings. Ater drying towles are stored in cabinet to keep them clean.

I don't have a linting problem with my approach.

    Step-by-step

How To - Perfect Finish Paint Prep

    1. Mist the Perfect Finish Paint Prep to a section of a panel at a time.

    2. Using a clean, microfiber towel, spread the Perfect Finish Paint Prep over the section to be cleaned and then immediately flip your microfiber towel to a clean dry side or switch to a new, fresh microfiber towel to wipe off any residues.

    3. Move on to a new section of the panel and repeat the process or move to a new panel and repeat.

    Very Important
Have plenty of clean, soft microfiber towels on hand for the prep step to avoid cross-contamination.

I'm gonna try and really thoroughly wash all my towels again and see what happens.
