    Chrome Wheel Hard Water Stains

Hello, I tried searching and couldn't find what I'm looking for so What I'm looking for is a product that will remove some hard water stains on my chrome wheels. I bought it used so the front part of the wheels are fine. but the insides of the Cobra R spokes are looking pretty bad if you look close up. MG Chrome Wheel Polish made the good parts look better but did not remove the hard water stains that the previous owner neglected to clean and protect. Please point me to a Thread that's discussing this issue or point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance

Use to be a product called Blu-job that motorcycle owners suggested for chrome. Perhaps something like Klasse AIO ???

You use the same approach as for paint, meaning start with the least aggressive and move up from there. Rsurfer is right. Start with WB. Then go to a metal polish (Collinite Metal polish is a great product if you haven't used it) or a paint polish like M205 with a mf. If that doesn't work, move up to 0000 steel wool and the metal polish. That should do it for you.

Ok, Got it, thanks. It looks like I'll try the 0000 steel wool. Do people use their car wax on chrome wheels to protect or is there a some special protectant for chrome ?

I had forgotten to mention the Megs WB as well. That is where you should start. And, yes, absolutely either a sealant or wax (or both) will help the chrome by protecting it against brake dust and hard water stains. Collinite makes a metal wax that is a fantastic product. If the chrome needs some polishing, make the metal wax your last step. It lasts a long time as you would expect any Collinite product to do!

There is one product call spot-off / i got mine at a local store back in l.a by the 91fwy
the shop is call brother's janitorail supply

i got this product there. Man it work's more than fine. You have to start low on the dilution only. From less to more aggresive.

I have done car's with extremely hard water spot's & stains
done it on windows / paint / & rims

just at the end ofcourse use some wheel polisher to give the shine you want
and if you really want the final tocuh on it
use pig-spit / spray can you find it at a local harley davidson store

Well to make a long...story short, I did have to use the 0000 steel wool with the polish. It worked great, made my wheels look like new again. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
