The thing that helps to remove water spots and other types of gunk and film build off glass is to use something with a CHUNKY diminishing abrasive.

Feel some M04 between your fingers and then feel any of the SMAT products or any other diminishing abrasive product and you'll see why M04 works pretty well at polishing glass.

    Key word... CHUNKY

Yes, I've had windows under halogens, metal halide, direct sunlight and flourescents and there is no marring at all. The microabrasives in M105 aren't hard enough to scratch glass. Glass is crystal clear after we've used 105 or 205 on it to remove waterspots.

Tried this since it was simple and cheap ha and it didn't even touch the little water spots.

Yea people have been telling me about this for years, I've never had any luck on actual hard water spots. Polishing with paint polish/compounds or using harsh acids are about the only thing that you are going to remove water spots off of windows.
