Anyone here use the Defelsko PTG?
I'm thinking of buying this and I just have a couple of questions for anyone who's used this product. Can it be used to measure the paint on a plastic panel such as a bumper or does it only work on metal? Also, I get nervous about the thought of anything touching my paint. Is this device fairly paint safe or do I have to be extremely gentle when measuring thickness? Thanks in advance for your answers.

I would love too ... can never seem to get the best tools for testing purposes however. Suppose they realize I wont return them. Here's a couple items I would love to test :
1. CrSpotless
2. Defelsko PTG
3. 3M Sun Gun
4. Festool or Matebo buffers (oops, we dont offer those)

Huh? Did you intend to respond to some other post?

You can purchase the one that measures psint on plastic or composite body parts, it's just more expensive. It is safe to put on your paint, unless you are very rough with things.

You would enjoy all of those products Scott, I just think the Metabo is just too light.

It looks like AG only sells one model unfortunately. I wonder if they can get me when that measures the paint on both metal and plastic?
