    Clay Bar Aggressiveness Scale

Would it be possible to get some kind of chart or something that shows how the various clay bars that Autogeek sells compare to one another as far as their aggressiveness or how coarse they are?

Reading through all the descriptions in the Autogeek store of the various clay bars, there are only a few clays like the Megs Mild Blue, Megs Aggressive Red and Pinnacle Fine Ultra poly clay that give a clue in their descriptions to how aggressive that particular clay may be.

It’s difficult to determine how coarse the other clay bars may be just from reading their descriptions.

I know that there is no official industry standard for rating how aggressive or coarse a particular clay bar may be, but even if there was some type of chart or rating (or anything) that would show a generalized category (fine, mild, aggressive) that each particular clay bar would fall into I think would go a long way for helping people like myself that may not have tried all the various clay bars to determine which one I may want to purchase, depending on the type of job that I may be working on.

Having used the Megs smooth surface clay and the Megs mild blue clay I know what category those two would fall into, but having not used any of the others I just thought it would be nice to have a general idea of how coarse they may be.

    Thanks
    Brian

Indeed, a chart could be very useful.

In general, most detailing clays would fall into the fine to medium grade category unless stated otherwise.

Some exception would be Meguiars Aggressive clay bar and Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay which is ultra fine.

Dodo Juice calls the heavy (purposeful purple) clay medium and the light (grey) Gentle Grey (the same as Wolfgang and Poorboy's Clay)
