Can we all now claim Mike Phillips as our “Uncle Mike”?
Family discounts at AG?
I looked it up and uncle translates to “chú” which appears to have another translation to “master”

KalvinTong, You will like CarPro Reflect (Korea) finishing polish on this Toyota black Paint. Easy to remove from paint completely.

Hi sir.
In here. We call “ uncle” for an older person. The person honored.
In mine, all those who are experienced and they share experience - knowledge and their results for people , i call “master”, like you
”chú” translate to vietnamese: my dad’s brother, little brother
“ bác” translate to vietnamese: my dad’s brother, big brother.

Thong,
Thank you for clarifying the meaning behind “Uncle”. No need to call me sir. My name is Bob.
Thank you for sharing your photos and experience. Nice work and I too own a Rupes polisher.

Such wise words. As a perfectionist, it took me a while to come to grips with this very idea, but I'm glad I did and it changed my entire outlook to caring for my vehicles. I know take an approach that will keep them looking really good for the 10 years I own them vs attempting to constantly make them look like they are headed to the Pebble Beach Concourse.

Are you asking about my approach? It's really nothing cosmic or earth shattering.
I simply don't chase 100% perfection when I polish out my cars. I also use the lightest polish needed to knock out the more obvious swirls and don't chase after the deeper defects that appear over time. I'll also only lightly polish it on an annual basis, or even longer intervals now that I'm using coatings.
Daily drivers will accumulate defects over time, and I don't feel it's worth abrading large amounts of the clear coat trying to elimiate them. If I'm going to hang onto a vehicle for a decade, my priority is on the survival of the paint. Protection will come first before beauty.

Re: This is Hologram or DA haze or ???
I know the perfect thing just to show-car / enthusiasts not "daily driver". I am lucky to have a black car and it has just been bought from the shop for 2 months. we have to pay ~ $ 50,000. It's not a luxury car but my friend paid a lot for it, it's very precious, I could do something different than when my friend got the key from the show-room.
I want to learn a lot from the practical experience, I do not have the best tools or products. But I try to finish it the best way according to my understanding and ability, a lot of things I need to learn from your experience.
