Dear Mike

I'm new to the DA Power System and intend to buy a good cordless drill to go with it (either a Dewalt or Stanley model, about 1800 - 2000 rpm). I understand that a corded drill is always better but due to constraints in where I live (in apartments and there are no power sources in the car parks), I have to use a cordless one.

I have seen reviews talking about the right speed settings (for cordless drills the RPM should go as high as possible since they will hardly be more powerful than corded ones), but interestingly I have not come across any discussion about torque settings before.

Are torque settings a concern at all when using the drill with the DA Power System to do detailing? If so, what should the settings be? If only speed settings are material but not torque settings, does it mean that a 14V 2000rpm drill is favourable over a 18V 1500rpm drill, albeit the latter has a higher torque?
