Meguiars Mirror Glaze #7 application over sealant
Hi,
Am I correct to apply Meguiars Mirror Glaze #7 over sealant and apply wax after?
Is this the correct procedure?
I am a bit lost with this product for clear coat cars.
Thanks for your time

Re: Meguiars Mirror Glaze #7 application over sealant
The answer is "no".
First - #7 is primarily for single stage paint as it will soak in or penetrate INTO the paint where it can do its thing.
On clearcoats -it mostly just sits on top and gets in the way of the wax or the sealant.
What are you working on?
Sometimes it helps to share what you're working on and thus not make everyone assume.

Re: Meguiars Mirror Glaze #7 application over sealant
Pardon me for not including the details.
It is for a 1988 Porsche 944S2.
I saw your article on the No. 7 and was impressed so I wondered if i could insert it on the sealant and wax procedures.
Thanks for your advice Mike.

88 Porsche is more than likely single stage.
#7 is a non abrasive polish. You would apply that first then a wax or sealant.
A great combo would be #7 followed by Megs #26 Hi-Tech liquid wax.

And if that is the case - that this Porsche still has single stage paint - then by all means after any compounding and polishing, rub it down with the #7 and then seal with your favorite wax or sealant.
This is where a few extra details about the project helps.
