pads
Buff and shine pads vs hydro tech which is more durable and why am I getting so much static with WG compounds and sealants?

Re: pads
Interesting. I got crazy static on my rear bumper after GG compound then WG sealant. I thought it was the whole process. But then I compounded my front bumper and didn't seal, and no static. I wonder if it was the WG sealant.
Don't have exp with those particular pads.

Re: pads
funny after I used WG sealant and got the static I went over it with Pinn. Liquid sov. and no more static.

Re: pads
In general, closed cell pads like Lake Country Hydrotech, and Buff and Shine Euro-Cell pads exhibit wear much faster than their open cell counterparts.
Standard Lake Country flats/CCS, Buff and Shine Grip Pads, and Meguiar's discs are plenty durable.

Re: pads
I definitely prefer open cell pads and not just because of better durability.
