    Scratch repair

    Hi Mike,

Owner of an '18 Ram 1500, and while parked under an EZ up tent applying Wolfgang's Paint Sealant, the back of my truck rubbed against the frame of the tent and scratched it. To me it looks clear coat only and is hard to see unless looking at it at the right angle, but it bugs me nonetheless. I've tried Quixx PSR, but you can still see it. When rubbing my nail over it you can feel a slight drag. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Is what you tried a rubbing compound?

I don’t know if Quixx is a rubbing compound. It’s a scratch repair kit.

To add, I do have in my possession Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover and Wolfgang Finishing Glaze if this may work to take care of the scratch.

Try the WSR with a mf towel. Do light passes and inspect often. I repeat do not go crazy rubbing the hell out of that scratch.

Quixx is an abrasive. I know from personal experience that it will cut through clear and paint when used on a cloth and rubbed vigorously. An early detailing mistake.
