Buff and Shine pads

I see Autogeek now carries "Buff and Shine" brand pads.
Junkman ( AJ Johnson ) recommends " Hexlogic" pads made by Buff and Shine.
Is this correct? Does Autogeek plan to carry Hexlogic buffing pads?

I would think there isn't much difference in the pad where it's the flat pads or Hex Logic. I have been using the Flat pad for a few years now and never had any issues just my two cents FWIW

I don't understand why he recommends the Hexlogic pads over flat pads. It would seem to me that flat pads put more polishing surface on the paint and that spent product and removed clearcoat could build up in the grooves of the Hexlogic pads.

The B&S flat pads work great and are very durable. The orange and yellow cut very well but leave a LSP ready finish when used with a polish on hard clear.

One of the reasons I like the hex design is because of how it aides in reducing friction induced heat build up, and how the pad handles on the paint surface. What I don't like is that 100% of the surface isn't being utilized...

I agree with the assessment of the Yellow and Orange pads. The green is pretty potent as well. Very versatile.

OP: Have you tried either of the pads you mention? Pad choice is usually a personal preference kind of thing. Any pad from a reputable manufacturer will yield great results when used with the correct polish and proper technique. My advice would be to try several and see which suits YOUR tastes.

the B&S 5.5" flat pads are great and you shouldn't have any problems with them. being flat means that 100 percent of the pads surface is in contact with the paint. also, the new megs 5" DA foam discs are great as well...

I use Hexlogic pads and I like them. As you can see, my question is does Autogeek plan to carry the Hexlogic buffing pads made by Buff and Shine.


I am not interested in debating the merits of the product. Take that arguement elsewhere.
