Pinnacle Black Label Synergy Wax Question

I am going to take the plunge and buy a jar of PBL Synergy Wax today because of Smack, 281 and a few others on this site. Additionally, the comments regarding the wax on this site are excellent.

My question is...can the wax be applied by a DA. I am assuming it is a hard enough wax to where I can apply it by DA. I like putting wax on with a DA.

My guess is yes, however, since this wax is so new I do not know. Please advise.

Yeah it goes on real nice with a DA. I use the 4in CCS blue pad to apply my Synergy. Remember thin is in.

We used 4" Rupes pads and the G3 on this project, kind of cumbersome to get the pad into the can sideways but you can do it.

Next step... seal the paint with Pinnacle Black Label Synergy

Most people hand apply their waxes but I'm a machine guy. By this I mean I try to do EVERY step by machine and the reason why is because the human hand cannot compete with a machine when it comes to creating the best results. Period.

First a quick lesson on how to machine apply a wax using the Griot's Garage 3" Mini Polisher with Rupes 4" white foam finishing pads....

Yes sir. I have used a 3 inch LC Hydro tech pad and GG3 to apply.

Can't wait to see that black Mustang properly polished and sporting Synergy!

We used the 3" Hydro-Tech pads when machine waxing this 2014 BMW, no pictures of the pads on the tool but if you look at the wax pattern on the hood you can see it's a small pad.

And the benefit is the 3" pad will fit into the can of Synergy wax.

    Machine Waxing

Here you can see the trails left by the 3" Crimson Foam Finishing pad used on a Griot's Garage 3" Mini Polisher.

If you don't own a Griot's Garage 3" Mini Polisher I highly recommend you get one to machine apply waxes and sealants. It's TRULY the only way to do this type of work and simply get your hands out the paint polishing process as much as you can for show car results like you're going to see below.

Time to bring up the level of your CAREFULNESS!

I've been typing that and saying that for years now and it's because it's important. After you have spent an entire day creating a show car finish you need to,

    • Bring up the level of YOUR carefulness.

    • Bring up the level of the quality for your microfiber towels.
You also want to inspect your microfiber towels before using them but visually and by your sense of touch. You also want to wear microfiber gloves. MF gloves make ti easier for you to hold and grip microfiber towels PLUS if you touch the paint you won't leave any finger prints or finger oils. At this stage of the game... ANYTHING is going to show up on the paint. So get some microfiber gloves and use them.

The pattern you see here is from the 3" Crimson pad dipped into the Synergy jar.

I do everything by machine unless I absolutely MUST do the task by hand. Machines always do a better job than humans. IME and IMHO.
