    Glass scratch removal

    Hey hoping you can help..

I'm working on a 04 subaru Wrx Sti that has amp assenger side window that has some scratches that I can't seem to get out. I have used ceriglass polish and carpro glass pads with little luck. Any tricks? Here is a pic if said glass. Hopefully it's clear enough to see. Thanks for the help.

    How deep is the scratch?
How long did you apply the CeriGlass product?
Did you use a DA or rotary tool? Or by hand?
If with a tool, at what speed(s)?
Did you apply the product more than once?

    CeriGlass Review

I just used CeriGlass and it worked great. No deep scratches but everything that wasn't serious vanished (which turned out to be everything). The glass looks great. I used a GG6 DA. I primed the pad, then applied approximately 8 dimes on outer edge, then 3 in center area. I spritzed the pad with DW and first made two section passes on 2.5 at a pressure that was just less than making the pad stop if I put pressure on the outer edge of the pad. Then I stopped, spritzed again, and ran it at 5 flat to the surface making 4-5 section passes moving about 1"/s and stepping over an inch each time providing exceptional coverage. I used DW when necessary but just enough to keep the product moving and not drying (not wet and slinging all over - I didn't need any towels or anything). This method was successful for me. I'm wondering if you just need to do it longer? If the scratch isn't deep....

If you can catch your nail on a glass scratch it's likely going to be much to deep to remove safely.

That's what I was thinking. If anything I rounded the edges making it look better.

    Re: Glass scratch removal

I tend to need forced rotation (3401, high speed) and decent pressure for ceriglass to remove any scratches. Also it takes much longer to work imo. Make sure to spray water frequently to keep the product workable.
