    Best wax for dust???

So as stated in previous posts i live in a windy area of Nevada up by Lake Tahoe. 80mph gusts are very common. On top of that I live on the top of a hill where im surrounded by decomposed granite which for those who might not know is some what like a mix of super fine sand and crushed rocks. Not to mention i have to drive over 200' of dirt road between my driveway and my street. Needless to say my truck is bombarded by dust all day and night long so it does not stay clean. Is there a wax or sealant that does well with repelling dirt? I just picked up some CG xxx and blacklight so im going to give that a try. I was just about to buy a drying towel but since my credit card is out is there a wax/sealant that would be recommended? Thanks guys

Get some Megs M135, Ultimate Wax and Ultimate Quick Wax.

Use the M135 and UQW as maintenance to keep the finish super slick.

You should be able to just spray off the car and sheet of the water it will be so slick, then wipe it down with M135 to maintain.

all wax repels dirt but that's not your problem.

The dirt is "sticking" to your paint due to static electricity. There is nothing you can do.
The only thing I can say is to get a DI water system and a power washer.
And when you get home power wash the dirt off.
and in this case I'd even use a foam gun then rinse.

This should eliminate the dust/dirt "sitting" on your paint/wax.
The use of DI water will allow you to rinse and dry in seconds. I can dry a car in about 30 seconds.

Finish Kare 425 is an anti-static spray detailer. People on the forum seems to like it a lot for this reason

A paint sealant should attract less dust than a traditional 'nuba based wax. A paint coating is another nice choice.

i just checked out finish kare 425. im not really a fan of spray detail because from my experience on black paint it leaves streaks everywhere. How is this product with streaking? im willing to give it a shot.

Reading the thread title...what went through my mind was "Who would want to wax dust?"

Of all the things I've lost...I miss my mind the most!

With the amount of dust exposure you're talking about, I don't think any product is going to do a good job of just sheeting it off. You might consider a Master Blaster, which doubles as a good "dust-blower-offer" besides its intended purpose of blowing water off.

Prima Epic seems to have better-than-average dust repelling properties for me, but that's a much lighter level of desert atmospheric dust. The amount you're talking about will probably overwhelm anything, and the blower might be the best approach.

That's a beautiful part of the country you live in, so maybe the dust is just a trade-off you might grow to live with.

Hey Scott, what about a sealant makes it less attractive to dust?
