Video: Wayne Carini's 1953 Hudson Hornet

This is a short video I took using my iPhone of Wayne Carini's 1953 Hudson Hornet. It shows the before and after side-by-side section I rubbed out for a segment on his TV show.

This is a car that Wayne has been chasing since he was 16 years old, that's over 40 years he's been trying to purchase this all original 1953 Hudson Hornet with the original paint.

Wayne asked me to use my method of restoring antique, original paint to preserve the paint on this car and in the process teach his painter and head detailer to do the same.

This was a landmark event in my detailing career and since I'm sending the link to this thread to Wayne I would just like to say,

Thank you Wayne for trusting me with your very beautiful 1954 Hudson Hornet.

I saw that episode the other day on Velocity. It's a beautiful car and a great story. Too bad they didn't show the completed project with Wayne like you show in that last photo.

I agree, documenting how to actually save the paint on a car like this with a guy like Wayne Carini would probably get a LOT of attention.

One of the most popular threads on our forum is about restoring single stage paints.

It's a sticky in this forum group and here's a screenshot showing the stats for popularity...

My guess the huge number of views comes from referring links all over the Internet
