    Help with exterior

Well I woke up to this.
It's been on and off raining with some sunshine coming in and out.
The rain drops seem to have stained the trim.

I'm afraid it is permanently stained
    I tried detail spray.
    APC
And ultima to try and blacken it up.
    Nothing worked

    Any suggestions would help.

    Haha congrats!

I had the similar problem, and I even thought about repainting, and buying new trim etc...

But mine went away as well

    Re: Help with exterior

If you have a dressing or coating on the trim, this is very common. Usually a solvent of Glycerin will blacken it back up.

Dang rain... have the same problem with Stacy' Honda's trim.

I've been very good about rubbing the trim down with the Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant and a simple microfiber applicator pad and it's been keeping the trim looking new.

    Two things,

    1. The act of rubbing the trim with microfiber is a type of gentle scrubbing which acts like a "cleaning process" without using any cleaners.

    2. Finding a product I like and then using it often is key to maintaining exterior black plastic, rubber and plastic trim.

I have some recent pictures for a write-up, not sure when I can get to it...

I cleaned my tires the other day with APC, while they might look clean. They are just a sponge with no protection (had no time)

I also have this problem and not sure what it is. It isn't on my trim though on my other vehicle (silver). It is usually behind the door handles and the handle it self (painted). Every time I wash the car, if water drops sit on it for awhile and I wipe it dry with a towel, I see whitish spots where the water was sitting but give it some time and let the vehicle dry, those white spots disappear. Anyone know what it is? Sorry, no pictures, car is currently in body shop

What have you tried to correct it?

As far as trying to correct the spots, no. I put sealant/wax on it and it does the same thing.

    Did you have sealant/wax prior?
