Testing Out Chemical Guys Black Wax - 1964 BLACK Catalina

Testing Out Chemical Guys Black Wax - 1964 BLACK Catalina

Here's the walk-around-video showing the end results...

Here she is, the new Chemical Guys Black Wax...

    Mmmm.... looks like black pudding!

    1964 Pontiac Catalina Ventura
Here's my project, a very beautiful 1964 Pontiac Catalina Ventura with a 389 Big Block and Dual 4-Barrel Carburetors. While this car looks beautiful from a distance or in low light, when you inspect the paint using bright light you can see the finish is completely filled with swirls and scratches.

    Outside in the Sun
Here's what this car looks like out in the sun...

Pretty good from a distance without the sun shining down on the paint...

Ouch! Kind of hurts your eyes...

I can't wait to see the results Mike!

By the way, the Nanoskin Autoscrub Mitts will be available to order very soon. Mike is going to get up close and personal with them when he details the Catalina.

Wonder how CG BW will compare to Meg's new BG? Maybe you should do half the car with Meg's and half with CG for a nice comparison.

Used the Nanoskin Autoscrub Mitts and they worked perfect for removing all the contaminants off the paint.

Note: I used them with the Nanoskin "Glide" spray lubricant instead of as a part of the normal washing process because I don't as a practice wash classic cars with a normal wash. The reason for this is because it's not a good practice or a professional approach to getting the car clean because you'll introduce water into places that could cause a rust issue.

I have a new car coming in that I'll show how to use the new Nanoskin Autoscrub Mitts on to wash and decontaminate your car at the same time.

The entire exterior of this 1964 Pontiac Catalina is now decontaminated and incredibly smooth.

Next I'm going to machine polish the glass to remove all the water spots, road film and overspray. Just like the paint was contaminated, so is the glass.
