    Makita 9227CX3 vs Makita 9227C

    does anyone here happen to know the difference between these two? i am about to buy a makita buffer but i came across these two! does anyone here know the difference? its on amazon.com that i saw these two!

    I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think the difference is the X3 is a kit with more stuff in it.

    thats what i am seeing, wich makes no sense, because the 9227c comes with just the buffer backing bad and wrench and loop handle, and is $189 while the 9227cx3 comes with the same stuff and wools pads and the makita bag! and its $185... as far as the makita buffer itself, its the same one between the 9227c and 9227cx3???

    Yes. Minus the accessories, the actual polisher is the same. Identical in every way.

    I seriously thought about buying it from there only yesterday! But I ended up buying it locally from a craiglist ad for about $100 and a few pads. The guy said he only used it once. It looks like it.

    wow thats a great deal! im going to just buy it from amazon along with some pads and compound and polish!

    I saw that the other day, too. Amazon's prices are all over the map and change frequently.
