    microscopic failure

I am detailing my friends 05 caddy xlr.. black.. car was bought used at a Honda dealer ship
and she was told I was sent to Greece on a yacht and brought back.

Looking at the paint with a radio shack portable microscope it looks like very small chips
and they are white or scrapes in the paint. Dosnt look like flakes in paint...

Through the time she has had the car i used 105 205 sips 106fa uf and opti polish.
and have waxed with purple haze opti seal ocw fusion

The car looks good but nothing like a black car in show & shine..

I can see my reflection in the car like a mirror but was wondering about
the chips i can see in the microscope.. I dont have a paint thickness gauge
    just a hack at heart..

    Thanks.

If you are needing a microscope to see the defects then don't worry about it.

    Re: microscopic failure

You know its hard to explain the look of the car on the internet and i dont have a camera.. but i can also add that every micro fiber towel i have will leave lint on it like it catches on those microscopic chips..
i have ocw and fk425 any qd i have tried it always leaves a lot of hard to get rid of lint...

Some MF's just lint, I highly doubt it's that. Seems like you're just looking too far into this.
