    I wouldn't worry about the time all that much, no one is doing a full detail on a highlander in 6hrs. What pads are you using?

    Still a newbie needs to buy new pads, im on a 7" soft buff 2.0 from meguiar , i need to get some 5.5" and a new backing plate plus some 4" and 3.5" backing plate to tackle my car perfectly!!!

    I know what yo mean. I did a quick wash/wax and just as I was giving it its final wipe down, it started to rain, just enough that it covered everything. Oh well, I got the wax on and that's what matters as its been raining just about everyday this week. I could see my wax start to suffer.
