    Problems with FK1000 Wax

Recieved my new order tried ona silver 2006 malibu .My process .
Wash Megs Hyper wash Cleaned Motor apc+& PS21 autowash
    Clayed Megs Mild
    Taped off all rubbber &plastic
    Polished with Flex 603/Solo Yellow/105 @ speed4
    finish polished Flex 3401/white CCS/Flex3401on 4
IP wipe down the finish look great
Then Started waxing with 3401 and blue CCS
the wax didn't seem to going on very easy very spottey
Decide to go at by hand let dry wipe off the wax was incredibly hard to wipe off had to continusly use detail spray to get missing spots . This stuff came off like Simonez use to . I normally use Collinte 846/915 Wipe on /wipeoff
using the 3401 looks great. I have fusion & Adam Americana. Never had problems with any off them. The wax when the can was open had cracks
could it had been dried out this was brand new from Ag? Seem to work fine And end Finish was Great
but took alot elbow grease to get off.Is FK wipe on wipe off even though the cansays to let dry.

Cracks are not something to be concerned with... My current tin also has a crack.

Thin is in... When applied thin it is a breeze to remove.

high end waxes are often poured into the canisters while still warm. As they cool they crack, its not something to worry about.

Cracks just a side effect of cooling. Apply the wax very thin and almost so thin that you cant see it. Let it dry, 15 ish min, then buff off with a short napp MF cloth. Spritz water if needed.

I have had great results applying 1000p with an LC Flat 4" black pad and a polishing pal. Apply thin, do the "swipe" test to see if it is ready to be buffed off. 1000p is a great sealant def one of my favs

    Re: Problems with FK1000 Wax

Everyone is doing well with the answers, it is common for waxes to crack because of the pouring process. And the most common mistake when apply wax is apply to thick, which will make your life difficult when removing.
