    protective film blues

Have a 2017 Pear white toyota. The protective film on the door jam corners is contaminated with matter on the edges. It looks terrible. Is there a tried and true method to clean these? The previous owner did not take good care of his car.

All that gunk has destroyed the adhesive so even once you clear it out it’ll come back, there’s really no other alternative than just replace it.

How do you remove the protective film ? Heat gun and peel off?

Steam would probably be better than a heat gun if you have it.

Yes, and lots and lots and lots of patience and time on your hands. I miss having PPF, that front end looked brand new at 60k still. Well worth it.

    Yes.

I'm not a fan of these things coming in tobthe shop.

The residual adhesive is never a fun time.

If it is only the corner like in the picture you could cut out the area. be very careful not to dig to deep and cut the paint. If you are very very careful it can be done. Good luck
