The best waterless wash

I will disagree with your "no matter how much dirt or dust is on the car". Nothing would be safer than a hose and bucket wash.

Nothing in this threads talked about a hose and a bucket, I thought this was a discussion about rinseless versus waterless. Obviously a hose and a bucket and flooding the car is the most complete safe way possible. Unfortunately that service that is not available in garage condos, apartments etc. In that case I’ll always believe the rinseless is better than waterless.

OK for you, I’d rather workout in the gym which I do five times a week than “ take the hard way out of doing a wash” my car. That makes no sense to me.

I guess I could use a scrub brush on my tile floors instead of my power tile cleaner too… No thanks.

You da man, warrior. Im 72 and detail quite regularly. I still love it, but dont do interiors any more. I am also able to pick and choose my customers, many whom have been with me for years. I hope Im able to do this for many more years.

I know I'm crazy as a run over dog, but I still love it! And,I am still pretty good at it, just a little slower.

I hope all us geezer detailers still have something to give to our industry.

Back to the topic. I prefer a rinseless wash on light dust and pollen. On anything heavier it's a hose and bucket.

Of the rinseless washes I've used, ECH20 and Duragloss seem to be the best. Wolfgang gets praise as being quite slick.

Us older detailers didn't have Autogeek or any other sites to figure what wax to use....I started off using simoniz wax....Gliptone paste wax....nu finish...everything was by hand...Rangerbay...the way I figure it...age is just a number....what helps me I have an old garden wagon that I sit on and move around the car...saves my back

ok enough of that...to me I only use waterless wash when there is dust or pollen on the car...if there is dirt I am going to do a full wash...old school....one more thing...if there is dust only why can't people use a sio2 paint sealant

A paint sealant does not have the lubricant needed such as a quick detailer or waterless wash. A paint sealant needs to be buffed off (exception WOWA sealants) thus rubbing dirt into the paint.

Thanks Bob....like you said most people here use rinseless....going to give it a try...any suggestions
