    1999 Caddy DeVille Tuxedo Edition

Going to help out a buddy tomorrow — he is helping out an unfortunate newly widow. The vehicle is listed in the title. He has asked me to help him with paint corrections and coating to get the vehicle ready to sell (I will not lie here...if the paint is in any decent condition I am interested in purchasing.).

Is there anything regarding the paint of a 1999 Cadillac that I might need to be aware of? I am bringing my arsenal of Optimum Hyper Polish, BOSS system and the new standby - Beasley N71. Of course I will wash correctly and clay prior to any corrections.

    Thanks for your help!!!

If it's anything like my 1989 Coupe de Ville, expect the paint to be on the hard side.

We had a similar car in our recent 3-day class. The paint was super neglected and filled with HOLOGRAMS.

We used this car and a 1977 Lincoln for the RUPES DA Correction Class and the paint on both cars corrected easily and came out looking factory new.

I say you're good to go. Just start with a Test Spot and use the least aggressive process to get the job done.

The paint on the Lincoln was the original single stage enamel - very soft - corrected very easy.

The paint on the 1992 Caddy also corrected easily. I let Dylan Von Kleist from RUPES do the Test Spot on both cars but from memory, the Caddy paint was not hard and corrected easy.

We used the 303 Graphene Nano Spray Coating to seal the paint on both and both came out looking like a million bucks.

I have not had time to share any of the pictures from this class, just to busy creating new content for other projects.

From this thread, page 3 I think...

SHOCK and AWE Detailing Class! TOOLS - TOOLS - TOOLS!

    The 1992 Cadillac has arrived.

The entire car is filled with swirls, water spots and HOLOGRAMS. Some hack buffed this with a rotary polisher and then STOPPED after the rotary step.

This will make a great paint correction and ceramic or graphene coating car.

This will also be our RaggTopp car.

Top came out great, paint came out great.

That's interesting how the paint differs from an '89 to a '92. My '89 is similar to Audi hardness. It is white but that shouldn't matter since it's clear coated. I really wonder what a '99 is like.

It’ll be hard… But it’ll finish out beautiful.
