How to keep the Souveran paste wax longest on your car paint?

    Hi, I'm just purchase 8oz Souveran, I wonder :

    1. Should I compound/polish a car paint that still have wax/sealant on it ? or Should I clean them off first?

    2. How to keep the Souveran wax to stay on your car as long as possible?

    Many thanks !

You can top whatever you have on there now. And it's a wax, it won't last very long, waxes are made to be applied often and that's why sealants and now coatings were created, people wanted something that lasts longer.

We all used waxes for years, and all waxes go into the category of “wax every three months” just like “change your oil every 3000 miles”… Those days are over. Unless I’m getting ready for some type of car show where I want a warm glow, I won’t put a wax on a car anymore. Sealants and coatings just last so much longer and give me great gloss. (And good oils now go 5000 -7000 miles EASILY)

Any polish will remove what you have on your paint.

Use something like Crystal Mist in-between washes and don't use apc in your soap bucket.

    1.) First: wash/dry the car.
    2.) Next: polishing removes waxes/sealants.
    3.) Lastly: apply the Souveran

•The only sure ways that I know of are:

    -Don’t ever drive it.
(Why chance exposing it to any man-made
    and/or environmental contaminates?)

-And park it in one of these:

But what FUN would that be?

    Question?

How does the paint look right now? Does it have swirls, scratches, water spots and/or oxidation?

The Pinnacle Souveran is a NON-cleaning wax. It's ONLY for paint in perfect condition. As in clean and smooth. So if your car's paint isn't like factory new then if it were me I would at a minimum clay it.

This method I share for coated cars will for for ANY type of was, sealant or coating. The BIG PICTURE is to use multiple towels so you don't take the dirt removed from one body panel and rub it over the next body panel. And any type of washing MICRO-ABRADES wax off the paint. So you want to wash as carefully as possible.

It's cheaper to buy a dozen towels for this type of wash than it is to RE-DO all your hard work.
