    Single Stage 1959.

Hi Mike, I have a 1959 Standard Pennant car, which has single stage paint, I can washdown with Sonax glass cleaner plus your Meguiar's #7 24hr polish.

My issue is the paint is very thin, some or the base red oxide is showing on the joints, the owner says that car has not been repainted. 🇬🇧

Any ideas how to keep the integrity of this paint safe, while still offer some improvement or protection, a good wax was on my list.

    Thanks sthilda1

Love your live shows with Yancy, great content.

First here's your car so everyone can see it....

Second - I've kind of answered your question for an old MG with the original paint that also has very thin paint. There's a LOT to learn by reading through this thread, (not scanning but reading the conversation, i.e. questions and answers)

Besides that, I have to finish sanding and buffing the windshield on a 1957 Corvette so the owner can take her home.

Thanks Mike I tried 3 times to get the picture to load it was not happening. I have some #16 so that is a great idea, as you say after 61 years the paint may be past help..

Thanks for your help will try some new picture again, when I improve the results.

Couple of things about uploading pictures to your free gallery here on AGO

There can be no spaces in the file name.

My picture.jpg <-- this won't work - there's a empty space between the word My and the word picture

My_picture.jpg <-- this works. Note the underscore between the words.

Picture file size is limited. I use Easy Thumbnails to resize ALL my pictures and I'm pretty sure I have more pictures on this forum than anyone.

    Interesting car. Good luck.

Thanks Mike for your help, it may well have been the file size, as Imgur can be a challenge at times.

    Great MG TF thanks.
