    303 aerospace protectant

Hi just about to apply to the dashboard of my car.

For 2 coats, how long do I leave the first before recoating?

Can I use a Meguairs (yellow) foam applicator to apply?

    Thanks in advance

A foam applicator will work fine, I like a microfiber brick instead, it seems to get more coverage. The real key with 303 is put it on so the dash looks completely wet, wait 10 minutes but then buff it several times to get rid of the oil sheen. I think there are better things out there than 303 after having used it for five years, but 303 is a great product.

If you make sure that you get all the area covered and don’t miss any spots, there is no need for a second coat. You’re just wasting product.

I also use the microfiber covered sponge. I spray the sponge, one side only, rather than the dash. Once you get 303 on the inside of the windshield at the base of the dash it can be a real bugger to clean the glass.

I too prefer to use a microfiber sponge for better control of where it goes, but it can be sprayed on the surface as well.

Yep experienced that with the glass. I spray the applicator as well.

I second one coat with microfiber sponge...and avoid touching any window. Wipe down is optional but I think that's dependent on the look you want and the type of surface. I think 303 is an awesome product and doesn't look oily. I apply it about 3-4x per year whenever it looks like it's dried out. I apply it to all of the dash and doors including plastic covering the gauges, laminated wood, steering wheel, door panels and trim, and vinyl surfaces.

Yeah 303 never truly dries and one coat looks kinda “greasy” second coat would be too much. I don’t actually waitca specific amount of time.

Just coat entire interior and then go back around from where i started.

If not a fan of 303’s wet look give PBL Leather&Vinyl coating a try.... worth the $$$

I use a MF towel. I have never tried the applicator and buff with towel method. I usually put it on thin enough that it doesnt need a buff
