    Re: Polisher for weekend warrior

I think the thing to keep in mind is the title of this “weekend warrior”. I can only assume that means he’s doing one or two cars every 6 to 8 months with a polisher. I don’t polish more than once a year. But I treat my paint well, and when I get ready to polish the following year it really doesn’t have that many swirls or scratches. I definitely think you can stay with your original PC, if you’re just doing your own cars, and Wash them and seal them right.....you really don’t use a polisher that often.

that being said I love my GG orbital, I got nine years out of the first one, I expect the same out of my second one.

    Just my two cents…
    Glen -

    Re: Polisher for weekend warrior

I might just go ahead with the G9 so I don’t have to take the 3” backing off the PC. Talked with Griots today and they were very nice, and the email from them came in about 10 minutes after I hung up with them.

Mike, you recommended the Uro Tec foam pads to pair with it. What selection would you choose to go with the cars I have in good nick? Et al, feel free to ch8me in on pads as well.

Could have already been polishing for a week!
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

    Re: Polisher for weekend warrior

Got the G9 out today to try to repair some damage around the windshield washer sprayer on my MINI. It definitely had more power. It also seemed heavy and had a lot of vibration. Is it supposed to get pretty warm?
