Wolfgang Si02 Rinseless as a Quick Detailer
As a newbie, I look to this forum for lots of advice.
Im always worried that I’m going to damage one of our vehicles by doing something wrong.
I recently purchased Wolfgang Si02 Rinseless Wash and used .75 ounces with 32 ounces of distilled water.
I used it on my Wife’s Grand Cherokee which has a coat of Wolfgang Si02 paint sealant and I thought it worked really well. Gave it a nice gloss and slick feel.
I didn’t use it as a drying aid or to clean it when it was dirty. I washed and dried it completely and then went over the whole thing with the detailer.
is this a bad idea - meaning is it a waste of time as aren’t quick detainers meant for cleaning a dirty car or as a drying aid?
It seemed to give it a little extra gloss and slickness though I’m sure that’s very temporary. Am I wasting time and product using it this way?

Perfectly fine to use a QD in that manner. That’s how I use them. Adds a little gloss and slickness and takes care of any water drips that show up after you dry the car.

As Rmd mentioned, this is a normal way to use it. Using it as a drying aid may achieve the same shine/slickness benefits a bit faster, since it’s happening as you already dry... but what you are doing is more thorough and ensuring all areas get covered and probably reducing any streaks that could occur during a lazy drying job.
