DR Beasley's 1201 on new car paint?

Hello, Mike & everybody. Just got a new Mini Cooper . How long do I have to wait before using the 1201? I would clay first and maybe use the NSP 45 polish before applying the 1201. This is the first time I will be using a nanocoating (always used wax - mostly PS21), so I want to be sure I am not rushing it before the new paint is cured. Thanks for your help

There's a HUGE difference between a new PAINT JOB and a NEW CAR.

If you just bought a brand new car - you can seal the paint anytime because by the time a car leaves the assembly plant and finally gets to the showroom floor of your local dealership - the paint is fully cured and hardened. Actually the paint is baked-on while traveling down the assembly line. By the time it's pooped out the door the paint is cured.

If you just had a Mini Cooper painted - then wait 30 days.

Hope this helps.... lots of confusion on this topic. I think I have a half dozen articles on it. Google anything about fresh paint 30 days air cure etc and add my name Mike Phillips

Thanks for a super fast reply, Mike. Is this a great site, or what!
That's exactly wanted I needed to know.
Will be glad to post my experience w/1201 after using it.

OK, Mike. I will post a review for NSP45 & 1201 at the product sites but want to say here that both performed flawlessly. I can't compare either to other similar products/brands because these are the first products like these I've used (I am/was old school carnauba wax guy) but for ease of use and final results I don't see how they can be bettered. Maybe some others will last longer; I have these on the car for a week+ so it's not enough time to know that. Bottom line: would I use them again? Yes.
