    Just machine or hand polish.

    Or even easier - use a one-step cleaner/wax.

    You've come a long ways since your first post about finishing custom pool cues.

    Wow - Opened a hornets nest....
    I just got a new ride and have no idea what or when it may have been waxed with. Thought to try and start from scratch. I had read somewhere that dawn wold strip wax - thought to do that and then clay prior to wax.

    +1 for cleaner wax.
    Easier process, wash it and check if it needs costing then just wax it with some kind of a cleaner wax.
