How to type in a way that other people will read what you write

This is an excellent post and glad it was revived.

My guess is, the reason people type in one single huge chunk of text is because our American education system has failed us. Just a guess?

Another annoying error is when people write ALL IN CAPS. I think the vernacularization for this is that it's akin to Screaming.

Yep... I have know idea why people do this?

I think it is like anything else in life... Some people are just better at it than others.

The same can be said for doctors, lawyers, plumbers, carpenters, mechanics, detailers, etc, etc, etc...

In my opinion, it is also a reflection on the one who posts.

If you do not care enough to use capital letters, proper spacing, and the correct punctuation, then you also don't care that you are presenting yourself as less than intelligent.
That may not be the actual case, but that's the way it reads to the rest of the forum.
