Re: Can I Get Some Quick Guidance With My New CarPro Products?
this past pandemic i have gotten bit by the car cleaning bug...i must have spent $500 on products.
car pro products have been great so far.
the only issue i see is that they seem to be pricier than other products.

And the one thing that I'm always typing and saying is that most people don't have the skill nor the volume of CLEAN - UNCONTAMINATED microfiber towels to properly and safely chemically strip thier car's paint without marring it.
It IS the crucial step before installing the coating.
This is why, anytime you see me share a write-up where I've detailed a car, be it with a wax, a sealant or a coating - I always take pictures showing HOW MANY TOWELS I went through. I do this for buffing pads too.
I just bumped this review and how-to article, it's LOADED with infomation, not just a review about a panel wipe, and true to form, I shared pictures of all the pads and towels I used to CORRECTLY install a ceramic coating to a BLACK Porsche.

Microfiber Towels
Most people don't have enough HIGH QUALITY microfiber towels to do the paint correction step and then install the ceramic coating. Besides behind high quality - they also must NOT be contaminated. If there's just ONE tiny abrasive particle lodged into the weave of just one of your towels and you wipe the paint with it - you will undo all your hard work by putting swirls and scratches back into the paint.
I used a combination of the
For the rinseless wash, claying, wiping off compounds and polishes I used the Cobra Forrest Green Edgeless towels.
For chemically stripping the paint and then giving the paint a final buff to spread the coating and remove any high spots, I used the Cobra Storm Gray Edgeless towels.
These are the same type of towel, just different colors.
How many towels?
I took these pictures after washing and drying the towels.
I took this picture after inspecting and folding the towels to get a towel count.
51 Forrest Green Edgeless towels and 12 Storm Gray Towels
Look at all the pads I used,
I don't know of anyone else in the car detailing world that actually "writes" write-ups like I do, at least not fully photo-documented like I do. And I do this to HELP people. And this is becasue most people don't have enough pads or enough towels to do the kind of work they are doing.
So... a picture, or multiple pictures, (see above), tells a thousand words.
And here's the old 2-door European job after all the hard work was over.
Doesn't everyone say,
Black is the hardest color to work on?
Good results are not only determined by the abrasive technology use for the paint correction step but also how many pads and towels you have to get the job done.
