VIDEOS: Removing Painted-on Pinstripes over Single Stage Paint

VIDEOS: Removing Painted-on Pinstripes over Single Stage Paint

I've been sharing videos on this project on my Facebook page as I work through it. Getting this car ready for a new ceramic paint coating.

Here's the video that most my Facebook friends are talking about. I'm showing how to use a razor blade to peel the painted pinstripes off the paint.

    Here's the rest,

How would this process vary for painted pinstripes on top of base/clear?

I wouldn't have to be as careful with the blade or as careful with the acetone.

    Mostly the acetone.

I just finished the driver's side. Tackling the passenger side next.

I'm going to polish the louvers on the side of the hood today.

Anyone want to see how to tackle these incredibly difficult to polish areas?

I've already corrected all the paint around the louvers after removing all the pinstripes.

Next I need to polish the louvers, the portions of the hood panel around the louvers and then chemically strip all the paint and install a new coating coming out.

Tomorrow, Yancy and I will be showing LIVE how to machine scrub the tires and apply or "install" a tire coating.

    All good stuff....

    No interest huh?

Well for anyone reading this into the future, here's how I did it.

Lol, yep nerves of steel to freehand a razor blade like that. I would think someone not as experienced might want to round the corners of the blade with a grinder before trying something like that.
